I hoped to ski again but with a history of hamstring tears, an ACL repair and chemo on top, even going upstairs at home was a challenge that reduced me to tears. I imagined myself with joint replacements and a miserable old age. As a GP, I embarked upon an exodus through London’s top consultants, physiotherapists and personal trainers. I was scanned, needled, and sadly re-injured! Eventually, I was tipped off about an Aussie guy who ‘knew his stuff’. In an unassuming gym in W8 Matt has helped me rebuild in a way that has been totally practical, especially for a busy person and former gym hater! I now do flights of stairs and I am back on skis. He has optimised everything around my knee and cleverly increased body strength and fitness. The results are excellent. Go yourself, get strong and send people to this extremely talented chap and his small team whilst he is relatively unknown.

After a difficult lockdown which left me at 110 kg and suffering from worse sciatica, as well as being diagnosed with diabetes at 48 years old, I realised I had to make some big changes in my life. I started going to the gym but had no real direction and I wasn’t seeing any results. A friend of mine recommended Matt and so I decided to work with him to help make the changes I needed. From the outset he was patient and fully understood my health issues and my gym reluctance! He designed a program that was tailor made to my needs. Matt was there every step of the way offering advice, encouragement, answering questions and ensuring that my health was paramount to everything we did. I’m now 85kg and getting into the shape of my life. My GP has informed me, following my most recent test results, that I am no longer diabetic and my cholesterol has improved also.
