Exercise therapy / physical activity is supported in the literature to help improve symptoms of persistent low back pain. What we don’t have is a set prescription of ‘best’ exercises. Core specific stability exercises have been shown to be no more effective than general exercise for improving symptoms over the long term. With this in mind, find activities that feel good, that you enjoy, and that you can undertake regularly and with consistency.
