We don’t have physical screening tools, or a crystal ball, to predict with certainty if someone will sustain an injury. What we can do is best prepare by asking: 1. Do I have enough range of motion? 2. Do I have (neuromuscular) control through that range? 3. Am I strong enough to cope with the demands? The volumes and intensities of training might change but the principles are the same whether you’re an Olympian, a recreational athlete, or meeting the demands of work and regular activities of daily living.
